Reuters ging op zoek voor ons naar de meest innovatieve Universiteit van Europa en ze kwamen uit bij de KU Leuven. De Leuvenaren verdienden deze eerste plaats door de grote hoeveelheid invloedrijke uitvindingen die zij doen. De onderzoekers van de universiteit dienden meer patenten in dan vrijwel elke andere universiteit in Europa en andere onderzoekers citeren zeer vaak de KU Leuven in hun eigen octrooiaanvragen. En Nederland… Kijk zelf maar.
