Meest invloedrijke Europarlementariërs 2019

De eerste Nederlandse die we op de lijst tegenkomen is mevrouw Judith Sargentini op plekje 26. Ze zit al ruim 25 jaar in de politiek en heeft eigenlijk nooit iets anders gedaan. Zij was degene achter het onderzoek naar de vraag of de Hongaarse regering de democratie en rechtsstaat in het land heeft ondermijnd.

Esther de Lange van het CDA vinden we op nummer 37. Sinds 1999 is Esther de Lange actief binnen het Europees Parlement. Tussen 1999 en 2007 was ze beleidsmedewerker van Europarlementariër Albert Jan Maat.

Als medewerker was zij actief betrokken bij de tijdelijke commissie MKZ over een ander vaccinatiebeleid. Sinds 23 april 2007 is ze zelf lid van het Europees Parlement. Zij is in juli 2014 gekozen tot vicevoorzitter van de Fractie van de Europese Volkspartij, verantwoordelijk voor de relatie met nationale parlementen.

Bas Eickhout, nummer 47 op de lijst, is sinds juli 2009 is hij Europarlementariër. Na de verkiezingen werd Eickhout lid van de commissie Milieu, Volksgezondheid en Voedselveiligheid en plaatsvervanger voor de commissie Landbouw.

Sinds 10 januari 2013 is hij delegatieleider van de GroenLinks-fractie in het Europees Parlement, nadat Judith Sargentini om persoonlijke redenen besloot terug te treden.

In de lijst vinden we ook nog Dennis de Jong, Sophie in ’t Veld, Marietje Schaken en Jeroen Leanarts.

In de lijst hebben de dames en heren punten gekregen voor Beleid: weten ze voorstellen ook in de praktijk te brengen, Leiderschap: zijn ze voorzitter van commissies en meer van dat fraais en Netwerk: kennen ze de mensen en worden ze gekend.
