Om deze top 100 lijst met favoriete romans te maken, vroeg opiniepeiler YouGov aan 7.366 Amerikanen: “Wat is je meest geliefde roman?”
Deze enquête leverde een lijst op met 700 boeken die door redacteuren werden teruggebracht tot maar één titel per auteur. Daarbij gaat het om boeken die in het Engels in de Verenigde Staten zijn gepubliceerd. Ter lering, vermaak en inspiratie! lees meer…

Favoriete romans in de Verenigde Staten, de Top 100
Een paar feitjes? Meer dan 80 auteurs op de lijst zijn blank en iets minder dan 70 zijn man. Ongeveer 60 auteurs komen uit de Verenigde Staten. Ongeveer een kwart van alle boeken is geschreven voor kinderen of tieners en van driekwart is een film of tv-programma gemaakt. Vijf titels zijn christelijke fictie en vijf kunnen als dystopische romans (wereldje waar het niet prettig leven is) worden beschouwd. Rond de 15 zijn science fiction of fantasy, en twee boeken kunnen als ‘romantisch’ worden beschouwd.
